This weekend we visited Magnolia Market, the home decor shop owned by the stars of the HGTV series, Fixer Upper. We’ve been fans of the show for nearly a year now, and with Waco less than 2 hours away, we decided to take a road trip. I had visited their smaller shop over the summer, but was blown away by the significantly larger new location. With two giant silos, a garden, large lawn for children to play and two warehouse-sized showrooms, it was definitely worth the drive. In addition to the gorgeous holiday scenery, the market featured tons of products and ideas for decorating during the Christmas season.
Here are my favorites:
Large Galvanized Buckets
These metal canisters are very substantial in scale and could be used for holding Christmas trees, large floral arrangements or logs beside a fireplace.
My absolute favorite find – and possibly my cat’s favorite too – is this berry wreath. It’s simple enough to work with a modern interior and, at over two feet in diameter, large enough to handle the scale of our front door.
I’m always a sucker for a great notebook, but this time it was my daughter who talked me into this purchase. She opted for the green journal with the inscription: on to a great adventure. She felt it was the right sentiment for our road trip to Waco.
Wonder Camera Poster
Ok, so this is actually a $4 piece of gift wrap, but wrap it around two wooden dowels or have it framed, and you’ve got a great gift for a photographer (or for yourself).
Sadly, none of the magical tabletop scene above made it home with me. But I list this as a favorite because, as anyone who has watched the show will attest, Joanna’s eye for styling is amazing and the shop is filled with inspiring design ideas that you could recreate at home.
As much as I loved the shop, I also loved visiting the grounds themselves. The weathered silos and surrounding scenery serve as a perfect backdrop for the rustic style of Magnolia Market housewares. Here are a few more scenes of the location:
